- Device ID: Collected by our third-party partners (RevenueCat and Expo Notifications) to manage subscriptions, restore purchases, and deliver push notifications.
- User ID: Collected by RevenueCat to link purchases to your account and prevent fraud.
Purchase History
- Subscription status and purchase history are collected by RevenueCat to manage your in-app subscriptions and enable purchase restoration across devices.
User Content
- Meal Entries: Food descriptions, meal logs, and nutrition data you enter in the app are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for AI-powered meal analysis, suggestions, and insights.
- Photos: If you use photo logging for meals, these images are processed by our AI service for food recognition and nutrition analysis.
- Barcode Data: When you scan barcodes, the barcode number is sent to the Open Food Facts API for product lookup. No personal information is included in these requests.
Usage Data
- RevenueCat may collect usage analytics related to subscription management and app functionality.

Data Processing
- Meal data is processed in real-time by Anthropic's Claude API for AI analysis. This data is not stored by Anthropic and is processed only to provide immediate responses.
- All meal logs, calorie data, and profile information are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use features that require processing (like AI suggestions).

- Cloud Processing: When you use AI features, meal data is sent to Anthropic's API for real-time processing. This data is not stored by Anthropic and is processed only to provide immediate responses.
- Security: We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Your Rights
- Access: You can access all your meal data and profile information directly in the app.
- Deletion: You can delete your meal entries and profile data at any time through the app. To request deletion of subscription-related data, contact us at support@calyx.fit.
- Opt-Out: You can disable push notifications in your device settings. You can also avoid using AI features if you prefer not to send data for processing.
- Subscription Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions.
6. Children's Privacy
Calyx AI Calorie Tracker is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
